TLDR: They are awesome and absolutely worth it. I recommend these to anyone with an aw11 with torn up stock seats. My seat skins as ordered: all black leather and stitching, and the included perforation. They cost $577.45 delivered to the PNW, and shipping was surprisingly fast considering they are manufactured in Karachi, Pakistan. Install is easy if you're willing to go slow and memorize the steps for removing the stock skins. Then simply reverse that order. it helps to do the seats side by side so you can reference the other if need be. The hardest part for me was cutting the old rings out using tin snips that weren't suited to that task. A good pair of pliers or mini bolt cutters would be perfect. As I removed the stock skins I found multiple pieces of the OEM folded wire used to hold tension in the center section of both the bottom and back halves of the seat. These thick steel wires were all seriously corroded so I cut up a few coat hangers and bent their ends to replicate the stock wires. Try to keep one of these stock wires intact to model your hand made ones off. Watch a video on upholstery, understanding the common methods used to attach seat skins will help you reupholster more quickly. Finally while the seats are torn down I recommend rehabbing the steel seat structure with sand paper and some black spray paint. It really completes the look. These are very similar to the stock leathers on my seats. Comparing them you can see they are nearly a carbon copy with just two features of the stock seats missing. The first is the use plastic cording in the edges of the headrest. On stock seats the cord is pulled to tension the leather and tighten it up around the base of the headrest. These head rest leathers lack that method of installation. Instead I used a leather needle and heavy thread to apply tension between the two sides where it was needed. A picture below will show that process. Note that I trimmed back the leather under the headrest as it was left long to allow for trimming. Any ugly threads or poorly cut leather will be hidden by plastic trim that covers the bottom of the headrest. The second is the missing embossed fire chicken on the sides of the headrests. IMO neither is significant although I'd love see the embossed detail added. Images below show the seats removed from the car since it leaks and hasnt been driven for 5 months. I have about 1400 miles on the seats. Note the distinct lines where water caused the leather to swell on the bottom halfs of both seats. I'm not sure how different leathers react to water damage so I cant comment on the quality of the seat leather in that regard but considering the amount of water exposure I'm not too surprised. There are also a few other nicks and a lighter black spot where I foolishly used isopropyl alchohol to remove a drop of spray adhesive from another project. I ordered these seat skins in march of 2023 but hadn't gotten around till posting this now.

I ordered a custom pattern grey and black Napa grade leather pair of seats with custom embroidery for my car and I could NOT be more satisfied with what I received. The skins look amazing in the car and get tons of compliments. 10/10 will use this company again for a future car!
